Enigma is the musical project started by Michael Kretu (English Michael Cretu, Michel Kretu, - the present Romanian name) and his wife Sandra Cretu in 1990, Germany. Michael is the composer and the producer, Sandra often executed voice parts on Enigma tracks. The pair also worked together over the project under name Sandra. Within the limits of the project an Enigma it is let out seven studio albums.

Compositions Enigma are described as «the pieces of music hardly probable having something general with usual music and the standard representations about it» and «rather new collage of sounds, a rhythm and feelings». Êðåòó combines world musical directions, merging all tracks in uniform product, forcing each listener to perceive music in own way. «No words can explain music. Music explains itself. Words and sounds - are similar to projector beams. They don't show to you only. You should see that there is between light streams» (M.Kretu). Hide review
