This, one of the most known American hard rock groups has arisen in 1973 in Pasadena, California. Eddi Van Halen ( on January, 26th 1957, Nijmegen, the Net( on May, 8th 1955, Nijmegen, the Netherlands; shock) and Michael Anthony (the river on June, 20th 1955, Chicago, the USA; a bass), playing «Broken Combs» have persuaded vocalist David Li Rota ( on October, 10th 1954, Bloomington, Indiana, the USA) to leave from «Real Ball Jets» and to join them. Having received the consent of the last, they have changed the name of the group on «Mammoth». Executing covers-versions of known hard fatal compositions of the end 60 - the beginning 70, guys gave concerts on bars and clubs of Los Angeles actually without interruption during the middle 70.

On one of these performances them the bass player «Kiss» also has noticed Gin of Simmons. It has been amazed by energy which they got public, and bright talent of their vocalist. Simmons was engaged in producing demorecord «Mammoth», but strangely enough the majority of the known writing down companies refused to conclude with group the contract.
